As research surfaces on the positive effects of low-dose, regular psilocybin use on neurological disorders, many are turning to, what has been coined "microdosing". So what is it, how would one begin taking it and why would they? Let's explore...



What is Microdosing?

As the name suggests, microdosing is the act of taking a very small (micro) amount (dose) of psilocybin-containing mushrooms on a regular, periodic basis - similar to taking a prescription medication. The average recommended microdose can very based on which professional you speak to, but the general guidelines indicate no more than 0.25 grams per dose.


Such a low frequency dose will not alter your sensory perception, hinder your daily activities or make you feel like you're "tripping". However, even at low doses, it has been shown to assist in a wide range of conditions.


Why Would Someone Microdose?

The reasons to microdose are wide and varied. Research shows that microdosing can help improve neurological conditions, stress, anxiety, eating disorders, PTSD and so much more.
